🆕 "Change Chart" Feature

There's a new feature available on Crystal!

As a Member, you can now change the Topic's Chart directly from the Topic Card.

🆕 Account Section Revamp

We have optimized and enhanced the Account Section for a seamless Crystal experience.

Not only have we renovated the graphic layout for all Account sections, we have also introduced two brand new sections: Personal Settings and Contact Support.

🆕 "Select All" Option for Filter Values Disambiguation

We have improved the disambiguation of Filter Values scenario.

You can now select (and deselect) all options available in a single click, with the "Select all" / "Deselect all" button.

This option is very useful, especially when there's a long list of options to check.

✔️ Share Topic with Row-Level Security

Before - In the "Share Topic" Feature, Users receiving a shared Topic would see it with the sender's viewing permissions applied, not their own.

This behavior would raise privacy concerns as the receiving Users ended up seeing the same exact Topic shared, including all applied Filters (if any), even if they didn't have permission to access that information.

Now - Users receiving a shared Topic see the Topic with their own viewing permissions applied, not the senders'.

In particular, two scenarios are possible:

  • If the shared Topic has Filters applied on it, receiving Users can only see it if they have viewing permissions for all Filters. However, if they have viewing permissions for just a few Filters or none at all, they won't be able to see the Topic and they'll receive a correlated error message instead.

    • For example, if the shared Topic has the "Country" Filter applied with values "Italy", "France", and "Spain", but the receiving User only has permissions for the "Italy" value, they won't see the Topic at all.

  • If the shared Topic doesn't have Filters applied on it, receiving Users will be able to see it, but with their own viewing permissions applied.

    • For example, if the shared Topic contains information for Countries "Italy", "France", and "Spain", but the receiving User only has permissions for value "Italy" on the Filter "Country", they will only see the Topic containing information for Italy.

✔️ Value Order in Tooltip for Multi-Line Overtime Graphs

Before - In Multi-Line Overtime Graphs, the order of values in the tooltip was always alphabetical, regardless of the coordinates on the X-axis.

Now - The values in the tooltip are always listed by order of magnitude following the order of the lines, and so they are rearranged based on the X-axis coordinates currently selected.

These images show how the order of values in the tooltip changes when visualizing different data points on different X-axis coordinates and follows the different order of the lines.

✔️ Custom Time Filter Not Working

Before - On some Crystal Projects, the Custom Time Filter didn't work correctly, and a blank page appeared as well as issues with the scrolling function when editing the range from the Filter Tab.

Now - The issue has been resolved.

✔️ Filter Value Alias Not Used in Topic Card

Before - Even when applying an alias to the Filter Value, the Topic showed the original value instead of the chosen alias.

Now - The issue has been resolved.

✔️ Question Misunderstanding with Italian Language

Before - With the Italian language settings, conversations with Crystal resulted in misunderstandings for a couple of specific questions, such as those containing "per anno XXXX".

Now - All the misunderstandings have been resolved.
